Microplates 250g – Fractional plates for barbells

$28.50

Microplates – Fractional Plates, 250 g.

The jumps your center doesn’t have.

Most gyms only go down to 1.25 kg. That means the smallest increment you can add is 2.5 kg on the bar—every single time, whether you’re bench pressing 60 or 160.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Do the math.
If you go from 60 to 62.5 kg on the bench press, you’re asking your body to give 4% more from one week to the next. If you increase a lateral raise from 8 to 10 kg, that’s a 25% jump. No one gets 25% stronger in seven days.
So you’ll fail the lift. You’ll stick with the same weight for three months. Or you’ll start compromising your form just to squeeze out that last rep.

The problem isn’t you. The problem is the jump.
Microplates solve it. With 125, 250, and 500 grams, you add just enough weight to force the muscle to keep going—and just enough for the body to keep up. That’s progressive overload as it was meant to be: small, constant, inevitable.

7 different jumps from three sets

The discs are sold in sets of 2 because no one uses just one fractional disc—the bar must be loaded symmetrically. If you combine the sets, you’ll cover the entire range under the center’s 1.25 kg

Per page, the total weight on the bar is:
125 g = 0.25 kg
250 g = 0.5 kg
125 + 250 g = 0.75 kg
500 g = 1.0 kg
500 + 125 g = 1.25 kg
500 + 250 g = 1.5 kg
500 + 250 + 125 g = 1.75 kg

If you have all three sets, you can adjust the weight in quarter-kilo increments from 0.25 to 1.75 kg. Add the gym’s own weight plates on top, and there’s no weight adjustment you can’t make.

Rubber-coated — for three reasons

They stay in place. The rubber grips the sleeve instead of rattling around between the large discs. No clattering, no discs shifting during a set. They don’t make any noise. If you put them on in a crowded gym at 5 p.m., no one else will notice. They protect the equipment. No steel-on-steel contact with the bar’s sleeve, the machine’s post, or the floor when they’re dropped.

For barbells. And for machines.

The 50 mm hole fits all Olympic sleeves: barbells, EZ bars, dumbbell bars—and plate-loaded machines, where the jump between one and two plates is often the most brutal in the entire gym. If you train on pin-loaded machines where the weight increases in 5-kilo increments, our GoPin weight extender solves the problem. Same problem, different tool.

The entire set weighs 1.75 kg

All three pairs together weigh 1.75 kilograms and take up less space than a water bottle. The thinnest one is 5 mm. That’s no coincidence—that’s the whole point. If your gym finally has one set of small plates, you know exactly what happens: they’re gone. Someone else has them. They’re under a bench at the other end of the gym. You spend ten minutes looking for them, give up, and grab the one that’s too heavy. With your own set in your bag, you’ll make the right move at any gym, every time. No hunting. No excuses.
